Have always played Fenders since I started gigging, so today arrived my first Vintage piece. First I had a Sunburst/Maple '75 MIJ Jazz RI. I then added with another, '75 MIJ Jazz RI only it had a matching headstock to body - Vin. White/RW. I later then added a '97 MIA P, which I refin'd in Nitro Fiesta Red/RW. Sold the Sunburst 75 RI in hopes of picking up a vintage piece......

So I came across a 75 P Bass on the lefty frets forum. Sunburst/RW
-Original Owner
-9.5 lbs
-Original '72 'A' Neck (feels almost like a jazz neck)
-No fret wear
-No body wear really - closet classic

Congrats! I know you spent a lot of time and effort looking for one. Great find.

P.S. It's missing some strings. ;)

Amazing - 70s p-bass sound (my fave era sonically) with comfy A-width neck and a normal weight! I had no idea Fender was using black pickguards that early

Congrats, but I'm green with envy.

I've been looking for one of those for awhile. Didn't even know that forum existed. . .

Enjoy and get in touch with me if you ever decide to sell it!

Nice bass! Tried to register at the Lefty Frets website, but got an error message saying my Yahoo email address was banned. Tried my Gmail address and that is apparently banned too. Error message said contact the Site Admin, so I clicked on the link, and got a 404 Error message saying page not found... I give up! It's been that kind of week so far.... :?

Bass was special ordered, specifically for the black pickguard. Owner said he was not expecting a 72 'A' neck.
