any one has had any experience with brand? with the baphomet model in pacticular.
I have a hard on for this one right here: http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/CHF/Bass ... 002402-000
and ordering it from them will end up cheaper then buying a schecter stilleto 6 from a local store.
any thoughts, info, hands on experience?
from what I gather they're an exculsive line for tthat store and that store alone.
I allso heard they're being manufactured at the mayones factory but this seems a little dubious.

The Fame Baphomets are indeed manufactured at the Mayones factory in Gdansk, Poland! Fame is the house brand of Musicstore in Köln (Cologne) in Germany. A lot of their stuff is just rebranded, like their entry-level guitars and basses, but all the Baphomet models are custom made in Poland for Musicstore. The one you linked to is in fact very similar to the Mayones Be, but with slightly different neck woods (sycamore veneers instead of maple) and different electronics (and MEC soapbars instead of Bartolini J-style pickups). I'm sure they're not getting the same attention to detail as a real Mayones, as they only cost one third of a Be model Mayones, but still they're amazing value!

Yes, an ash-bodied Baphomet 6. I'm not really into 6-strings, but I liked the look, feel, weight and playing comfort despite the relatively wide neck. It reminded me a lot of a Warwick Corvette in terms of tone and feel.

I ordered a baphomet 6. since it's a special order it takes 8-10 weeks.
so I'll post up (somewhat limited due to this being my first bass) a review in about 3 months
