I bought a Fender 62 Reissue pickup as an upgrade for my "new" MIK Squire. The only problem is that both halves of the pickup are mounted on a single solid brass mounting plate, so the stagger is reversed (lefty strung lefty). Do they make a lefty 62 Reissue pickup, or can I just cut the plate and solder it with the lefty stagger? Actually, it looks like the easiest thing to do is to remove the foam from the plate, flip it, and glue the foam on the back, that reverses it. Anyone ever do that? |

My tech installed this pickup on my bass but i recall, your option #2 is correct. Detach the plate and solder the pickup onto the other side of the plate. Awesome pickup. |
