Post subject:  The London Bass Guitar Show 2013 - left-handed models

hi there,
I've been put off going to the expo cos I went in 2011 and there about half a dozen left-handed guitars in the whole place.
Is there some way to cajole (compel) retailers to have at least one lefty model on their stalls.
I contacted the people at Status and got this response...

"Hi Andy,
I will try to make a lefty for the show. Did you want a 4 or 5?

Best regards, Rob Green."

Is there any merit in starting up a petition to be sent to all the exhibitors?

I ended up buying a lefty King Bass Standard that Rob Green made for the London Bass Show in 2011.

At the time I had a 6 string S2 being custom made and when it was getting close to being shipped I asked if there was anything lefty from the show and he sent photos of the King Bass and I threw caution to the wind and bought it. Originally it came with a 34" fretted neck. Later on I switched out the fretted neck for a 32" scale fretless neck. I think Rob had another King Bass Standard at the show last year, and if he can make another bass for this year it will be three years in a row. I think it's great that Status Graphite doesn't charge extra for lefty. Unfortunately not every model Status bass is available lefty, but hopefully that will change.
