Hi Arni and all!

I found Arnis site via the Rickenbacker forum. To find a Bass site for lefties only is magnificent!

About myself: been playing for 28 years ( I'm 42, but told I look 30 ...I certainly don't behave like a 42 yr old).

I've played in a few bands since 1984, and now concentrate on desktop recording and teaching the Bass.

My Basses are:
G&L L2000
'78 Rickenbacker 4001, Jetglo
(both the above made in USA, I bought them second hand but they are in excellent condition)
Hofner Icon Series B-Bass ( copy of the 500/1, but it is a Hofer, just made in China. I did have a German '70's Hofner, left hand, but they cost a fortune down under!! I had to sell, but the Icon Series sounds very close)/

The Rickenbacker and Hofner were dreams of mine since I started to learn Bass ( I'm a Beatles/McCatrney NUT!!), and the G&L has to be the finest instrument I've played. As we know, it's not so easy finding L/H Basses - I've owned a few over 28 years, but these 3 are my ultimate collection. I could want know more ( but happy to test out others).

Ok, off I go to look through the site. You might see me on the Leftorium, mouthing off about how great Left Handers are. And who would disagree? ;)

cheers :D
Jim

Hey Jim,
Arni's not here man (in my best Tommy Chong impersonation). This site is the North American Ying to Arni's leftybass Euro Yang... if that makes any sense.

Though Arni really should be on here... Arni, you listening?

Anyway, welcome aboard man, nice to have you here! Be sure to pop some pics of your basses in the Gallery when you get a chance. And no, you won't get any arguments around here about how great lefties are. :D

No problem - I think I realised that after posting...that Arni was linking a Forum - thanks anyway. I'll be staying!

No, this site is much smaller and just different from Arni's. When we started it we thought it would be a nice compliment to what Arni had going already, we're really a companion site to Arni's. Arni rounds us all up, and this place gives all the rounded up lefty guys a place to chat. That's some fine southpaw teamwork in action!
