i am thinking of putting a low b on my ibanez 4 string bass. will i have to make any needed ajustments? |

You mostly need to file the nut to adjust it for the bigger strings. Keep in mind that some Jazz pickups may lack the definition required to get a good B sound. You might have to slightly tighten the truss rod but no more than a quarter turn. |

Action and intonation will require some attention too. Make sure the saddle of the E-string has some room for travel left (towards the bridge). |

I have an old bass sitting around a ibanez eb3 from the 70's, had it defretted in the late 80's. Put some new flats on it a couple of months ago. Had major trouble with the neck , couldn't adjust the trust rod, so detuned to BEAD o boy it seems to work great throb though my 18 stack. |
