hope I have not overlooked some equal thread like this.... but I would like you to ask : what are your experiences with Warmoth necks ? I'm thinking about ordering a replacement neck for my Fender 57 P Bass - a maple neck with a rosewood board.... but I have abselutely no experience with Warmoth thanks for your help |

They are fantastic. Get the one with graphite rods instead of the steel ones. Much better balance. |

thanks for that info. Warmoth just emailed me - they can't build me a neck with the specs of a 57' P Bass neck looks that I have to stay with the 1 piece maple neck on my Bass |

what specs in particular are you looking to replicate, what work are you willing/able to do yourself (think finishing, cutting a nut, etc ...), and what are you looking at budget wise? also curious why you're considering a new neck. anything in particular about your current neck you're not happy with? there's a couple ways to go depending on exactly what you're looking for. the above info can help to narrow the field of recommendations all the best, R p.s. not fishing for business with this post - I'm not a parts house |

Hy, I've listed the details for a 57' neck (taken from the Fender page) below. I'm not after doing sth. bymyself because I can't but I'm also waiting for a price request for a 62 model. I just felt that I'm a "Rosewood" guy and this Ash / 1 piece Maple combo has a great tone but somehow it does not fit my finger playing style 100% .... a friend of mine has an original 63 P Bass with that combo - Ash / Rosewood and it sounds great - defenetely more towards my taste and I have tested it by myself too when I've put the neck of my Jazz Bass (Rosewood board) on my Pbass to see the deifference A new neck would be an option instead of having to buy a new Bass Neck Shape: "C" Shape Number of Frets: 20 Fret Size: Vintage Style Frets Fretboard Radius: 7.25" (18.41 cm) Nut Width: 1.75" (44.45 mm) Scale Length: 34" (86.36 cm) |
