That is some nice stuff ! Is that a reflexion or there is a black plastic pickguard on the junction between the body and the chrome neck plate ? ![]() |

As we all know, the eyes are the first thing to go ... For the life of me, i can't see where the finish chip was in your original blog post. Can you point out where it was for us visually impared lefty bassists? |

In the post "PBass Build Pt 3" look at the headstock pic. There's an outline of a large chip between the G and D string tuner bushings. You can see the chip line going through the top of the 'F' in the Fender decal. |

Matt that is such a gorgeous bass I think I could EAT it, lol! I haven't gone through all your blog posts, but the neck, did you salvage that from an older Fender? |

I bought that neck from a board member here. It's a 2008 Precision neck |

Ooh boy that is sweet. I'm putting together the funds for a P-Bass build from Atkinson Basses, and I'm looking at different pickups. Those Seymour Duncans look pretty promising. Would you recommend them over, say, the Fender '62s or Nordstrands? |

Post subject: | Re: My P-Bass Build |
Never played a Nordstrand. I have played the Fender pickup, but it's been years. I don't remember why I didn't like the Fender 62, but I do remember it was a good pickup. I think i just wasn't knocked out by it. The Seymour is cheap and sounds amazing. I generally gravitate toward Seymours anyway. I've always been happy with their stuff. |
