I just got an e-mail from Mike at Eastwood announcing these, so he didn't lie when he told me they were coming. Taking orders now for March/April delivery. Pretty cool looking bass, IMO. No upcharge for lefties and free shipping:

I'm guessing he didn't order more than 12 of these, as he told me that that's the minimum order he needs to get lefties manufactured. I'llbe hounding him about the Ovation Magnum copy he mentioned he's working on too.

I would love to get a hollowbody bass in the walnut finish if he'd make a 34" scale version.

If anyone else is interested in such an animal let me know.

I'm also looking forward to seeing his Ovation bass.

Yes, he has cases. That was a link to his other site (He also sells vintage stuff too). You'll find cases on the http://www.eastwoodguitars.com website under, "Accessories".

That looks great Chuck, I LOVE the look of those basses, would be way into gettig a 34" scale version. 30" scale and my ham hands don't mix.

I love the Eastwood EEB-1. Surprisingly thumpy given the lack of any body weight. Interesting that yours also has the sloppy glue splotches on the pickup as does mine.

Cool stuff!
I'm contemplating that Classic 4 pretty seriously. I'm waiting to see how the lefty T-bird situation goes, if it falls through (heaven forbid!) I'll be getting the Eastwood.

I'm also really jonesing for the Sterling Ray34 as well.............AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

after my SX purchase about a year and a half ago now, I've been relatively GAS free in regards to basses... but then you guys have to keep posting in this thread. I URGE the mods to please consider deleting this thread. if not for me, do it for the children.

I've seen the demo videos online of the Airline and Classic models, and they sound terrific! I really like the looks of the Classic, but the Airline has a better thump/sound IMO, and the shape is beginning to grow on me...
