Read the description. Never heard of this before. Is it true? Doesn't ring true to me, but always open to learning something new. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203987151891?h ... SwzttiozSE |

I hadn't heard of this either. My first thought was this refers to what is sometimes called a "target burst", where the yellow center is almost opaque. While googling for this, I stumbled upon a thread on Strat Talk which actually describes the "faux burst" from your post! Post number 8 by user Guy Named Sue refers to them here: https://www.strat-talk.com/threads/target-burst.534804/ It was apparently used sometimes to cover up a body made of more pieces than usual, or inferior wood grain. |
