Playing a righty Jackson pointy thing, and the knobs are right under my arm so that I turn them, and it's impossible not to.

What solutions have you found?

On a more serious note: if you don't use the controls, and if the control cavity is spacious enough, you could take the knobs off and tuck the pots inside and plug the "potholes":

That is exactly what I have done. I have found that most control cavities are large enough to keep the knobs and washers on the pots in the cavity so they don't get lost. I also wrap them in tape so they don't create any unwanted electrical connections or get adjusted.

Pushing the pots inside? I love that idea, and that's exactly whats going to happen.

I'm going to make my own plugs for the holes.

This has made my day a happier one.

So, popped them down into the cavity, taped it all down inside, and voilà, no knobs in my way. i've got some little wood plugs to go in the holes, just to keep dust out of them.

Shit, this simple idea actually opens up a lot of double cut guitars and basses to me.
