 Post subject: replacing a pickup on a stingray?

Anybody have any experience with this? Will i just have to put a normal one in upside down because of the shape, or are there leftys? thanks yall

Paulo just dropped a cool aftermarket pickup into a Sterling. Maybe he can chime in.

I don’t think there’s any real “upside down” other than any logo that might be on the cover, so you should be good to go

Yeah I did replaced the pickup on my Sterling with a Herrick pickup 8 quad coil and also removed the preamp, now it's all passive with 2 vol and 2 tone knobs (vol/tone for each coil) and a 3 way for top coil, both or bottom only.
My pickup is upside down as you see where the logo is but it made no difference.
