how can you criticize a company for not making lefty models? it's a privately owned business
which doesn't owe you jack shit. if they don't think that making a lefty version is lucrative just don't buy their shit.
and it's not like lefties don't play favorites either. just by looking at a companies web-site you can tell if they have a large lefty clientele or not.
I mean schecter guitars have two models for a 6 string left handed bass. most companies don't have one righty model.

as for the whole left vs. right argument. the fact that the way we play guitar (I'm not much of a bassist yet so bare with me on this)
changed it's focus completely in the past century tells allot on this issue. think of how solo technique took over the guitar moving the players focal point from the picking hand to the fret board. logically speaking you'de assume a swap in hand would be required, but that never happened.
it comes down to this, you strong hand is good for doing every thing. your weak hand is bad at everything. assuming you're using both hands you want your strong hand to do something that DOESN'T require attention so that you could focus on your weak hand. (this is why drummers use their right hand on the repetitive hi-hat groove and their left for the more mentally-complex snare work)
but this logic doesn't actually define which is your strong hand in this context. I know I couldn't play a righty guitar. I tried. I sucked real bad. but I also have a lefty friend who plays a righty guitar better then I will ever play a lefty. so it comes down to who you are and what do you do with your hands.
