I agree that, like many, I'm so over quilted colors. How about orange for this Denver Bronco fan ?

how about a candy tangerine body painted similar to this, keeping in mind that the image source is not where the body would actually be coming from

I worked a few color tweaks with the finishing shop since I last posted on the color. here's an undoctored teaser image of how the Honeyburst finish came out

Image

I am left speechless at the incredible finishing job the shop did. Full images to come when I have this all assembled

all the best,

R

It's been awhile since there's been a post here, so I thought I'd spice things up. It's too bad this guitar maker doesn't make basses, because this is one of the coolest finishes I've ever seen. It's a "brushed" metal plate on top of the wood Joe Bonamassa plays the Tobacco finish in his RockPalast DVD. It's way cool! Here are pics...

Check out these Tooled Cases they come in!

Here's the link to his website.... http://www.gigliottiguitars.com/guitars.html

There are videos on the sight to watch etc. I hope he considers making basses one day.

Wow... NO ONE has an opinion on this finish? I thought someone would like this (as I do), or think it looks like road-kill... you guys are a tough crowd! :)

Fivebass, i do have one opinion, i like the gray to black Tele. I'm not sure what kind of bass i would have in that color though, at the moment...

Rebel, I agree with you - the silver would look great. My first choice would be the Orange, as that's my favorite color. There's nothing quite like it at the moment.

i found out that Epiphone's T-Bird does come in a silverburst, the orange one isn't that bad either. but in my opinion, it really depends on what bass your gonna go with with one of those colors

just last week I was introduced to a finisher who offers a trademarked high gloss 4-color semi-transparent camo finish for Swamp Ash bodies. it was pretty cool ... but I forgot to ask about pricing

all the best,

R

I like this one alot ... reminds me of a 70's style / like the capri orange also

How about a transparant fiesta red over ash or grainy alder. Maybe even a Fiesta sunburst that goes from solid to transparant towards the middle. I know that would be tough given traditionally it has the sand undercoat. But it would be original. hummmm ...
