That is a great classic design.

It's like the CS P at Drum City... but $2300 less.

Agreed!

I did pretty much the same design, only I opted for the 2-tone burst for a little bit more of that vintage "faded sunburst" vibe.

Here's mine:

Hi and welcome aboard!

That's pretty much the design I would choose if I had the funds to get one. I'd probably get its twin on the Jazz side of things as well

That's sound great!
The Experience is innovation which changes the market of bass.

Thank you for replying to a new comer like me!

Nice to meet you!
I still don't have enough money to purchase.
But I'd like to order the next bass now. :)

OK, so what are your thoughts on the pick ups choices??? What would you choose and why? Which would have that "P BASS" sound?

I thought that it existed since the reissue of such specification was seen.
Indeed, I understand.

I don't mean to sound condescending here, but... since they're all p-bass pickups, they're going to all sound like a p-bass.

Whether or not they will provide "that sound" you hear in your head is impossible to know and a gamble for anyone who buys a bass without playing it first.

Fender has a very brief descriptor of each pickup in the ADE bass builder... the 58's are "warm and punchy," the 60's are "round and sweet" and the American Standard pickup is "modern with all-around versatility." As few words as they provide, I think they did a fairly good job giving the prospective buyer the most important "buzz words" to make the best possible decision.

It's kind of up to you to try to match those descriptions with what you think you might be looking for... if it ends up being the wrong choice for you, it's an easy and fairly inexpensive swap to go to something else.

I kinda did an eye roll when I read the pickup descriptions. But yeah I think you nailed it. They got the 'buzz words' right. I'd guess they're all going to sound pretty good.

That being said, I still opted for the 60s pickup even though I went 1950s on the overall vibe of my PBass. At the end of the day, I don't think it's gonna make a big difference.
