Ah, below the color options, it now reads "All bodies feature high-luster gloss polyurethane finishes."

Unfortunately my computer is the property of my employer so I can't.

Neither of the colors you spec'd are offered. Nor are matching headstocks. Don't see bound necks with dots either.(only block inlays in maple or rosewood) I'm leaning toward a LPB P with maple board and mint pickguard or 2 tone SB P with maple and gold anodized pg.

Well, thank you for making the attempt, I appreciate it. :D

I guess Fender won't be selling me a bass anytime soon.

I have also received my coffee. Now I can be awake and on edge for the next 80+ days. Awesome.

I keep going back and forth on "modern vs. vintage" though... I kind of like the new bridges they're using.

The other two biggest questions I have are:

1.) Do the vintage necks have graphite reinforcement bars?

2.) Are the "gold anodized" pickguard the real aluminum ones or are they the plastic knock-offs?

I'm going to call today and get some answers.

The guy from Fender just said the vintage style neck is an American Vintage with no graphite reinforcement.

Congrats, I am dead jealous! How long have we been waiting for those maple necks!

Just officially placed my order a few minutes ago... I had to sell some pretty cool stuff to make it happen, but MAN... I have been waiting a LOOOOOOOOOONG TIME for this moment.

If Fender pulled the plug on me before I had the chance to order, I would have never forgiven myself.

I decided to go full-on vintage with my order... the p-bass platform is supposed to be simple and I was overthinking it. As another wise lefty once told me, "They got it right 50 years ago... why fuck with the formula?"

Anyway, I am pumped beyond belief... I'll give the full review once I receive the bass!

YES! So Chris I'm assuming you found out the pickguard is actually anodized aluminum?

some really great looking choices here, very tempting. Wish I could afford it. If they add a 51-54 Precision/Tele single coil design in lefty to this mix, I'm in trouble!

Agreed, This would put me in the 'danger zone' as well.

IMO, Rod's (Regenerate) SCPB beats the crap outta any SCPB righty Fender i've ever played including the vintage ones. Which is why I bought one! YMMV of course.

Is this program replacing the current American Series? or is this in addition to the stock basses that they've been producing?
