Hey guys,

2 weeks ago I was at a local music festival (soul food-fest) to see Bootsie Collins and he was amazing! While I was there a local band that was playing earlier in the day had a bass player who was just killing it and had an amazing looking/sounding jazz bass, after their set I got a chance to talk to him and he said it was a Bass Mods k5, I was already familiar with them through talkbass but didn't know they made basses. Long story short I emailed them about left handed offerings and even though my old lady vetoed me getting one I figured I would pass along the word. They are currently doing a lefty run of 34" inch scale 5 string jazz basses starting at $790, standard alder/rosewood or ash/maple, both come with blocks and binding, they have a bunch of different pickup options ect ect. I have no affiliation with them, just wanted to let you guys know about it.

I do believe I've seen a lefty or two on eBay.

Wow, looks quite pretty! Not a fan of the gold hardware though, and that bridge is mounted at a weird angle.
But I love the finish, and the blocks and bindings, and the choice of electronics :)

Not sure if it's just the angle in the pic that makes the bridge look "off"... agree with everything you mentioned Jeroen, and somehow, the gold hardware goes well with the color.... it's a good thing I don't have an extra $800 floating around!
