Is that ideal? No. But is it going to affect output or tone? Not one bit. It's not too glaring, but you'd certainly be entitled to exchange. Personally, at that price point, I wouldn't care. Or, you could just grab some pickup covers that don't expose the pole pieces. Or upgrade to EMGs. :ugeek:
