Sweet looking neck; my teal 'Ray had one just like that. Word of warning; mine developed a back bow on an outdoor gig and it fretted out at the 2nd fret all night! Of course, the worst thing that happened that gig was I broke my windshield loading my Mesa 4-10.....anyway, I own a graphite-necked bass (and a 4-door) because of that gig!

I have a maple neck 4 and I've never had any issues, but I don't play it as much since I've gone to 5's exclusively now. But even the 5's are Stingrays- they're built like tanks and very versatile. You will be very pleased!!!!!!!

By the way, just bought a black pearl pickguard for my black 5 and it makes all the difference- a very nice addition to a blacked out 'ray!

The bass is here, the neck is even better in person and the sound is killer, a true keeper! Just needs a little nut work and new strings. The best deal I've ever had for a lefty.

Seems like I’ve got StingRay fever and got lucky again!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=004

With an eBay 10% off coupon I got this for 779.00! It will be here Monday and from the looks of the bridge it’s a 94-95, supposedly “new”, we’ll see. If it is good as the black one I’m going to invest in lottery tickets!

Dan at Ernie Ball posted this...

"Hey Psycho, this baby was completed on 7/24/96. It was shipped to Rawson Music in Tulsa, OK. Since that was the first year we offered lefties of any kind, I would venture to guess this was one of the first of the breed!

Dan "

This bass came from Rawson Music today and is absolutely in new, unplayed condition. It's my lightest EBMM and the body is one piece. The "couple of mars" on the back turn out to be some sort of sticky glue stuff and came off with a Wonder Wipe. The best deal I’ve ever got on a bass! Sounds and plays killer and the case is a G&G or that type and in excellent condition as well.

I ordered a tort guard for it today from EBMM, throw on a set of EBMM strap locks and away we go.

Hot Damn!

Just got this from Dan at EBMM...

"Just to satisfy my own curiousity, I wanted to find out exactly which one you got, in the order of production.

From what I can make out, the one in Sunburst that we displayed at the NAMM show went to our UK distributor, Strings & Things. The next one, several months later, went to a store called Rawson Music ... in Oklahoma City ... and guess who owns that one now!

Dan "

I have the second EBMM lefty ever built. There were some lefties made before Ernie Ball bought MusicMan, I'm going after those next!
