I have one question, I read that preEBMM volume pot is not correctly tappered, so the volume pot is not very efficient. Do you have the same problem ? Also, bass, high and volume pot are set for righty, and not lefty, so that's the other way around. Do you have the same problem ?
From what I understand, the "bunching" problem on 2 band Rays was a problem and I believe EB fixed it in their classic series by changing out the audio taper pot to a linear taper pot using the same values.
If you wanted to "fix" that problem, you easily could... however, you probably wouldn't want to mess with the original electronics if the solder joints are untouched.
You could also change out the EQ pots to turn "true lefty" as well.
According to the schematics I've seen, the treble pot they used in the 2 band is a 1M reverse audio taper pot, so you could switch that out for a 1M standard audio taper pot, which is VERY common.
The bass pot is a 100K standard audio taper pot, so you could switch that out to a 100K Reverse Audio Taper pot... definitely not as common, but I found one at Digi-Key...
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... 1041S28-NDAll you'd have to do is "mirror image" the wiring on the EQ pots that are in the bass already and you'd be set.
But... like I said... if it's all stock and untouched and the pots are still working as they're supposed to, I'd just leave it as-is.
Congrats on the bass!
