I went out in a whim and got this because I wanted to try a G&L JB bass and also wanted to give another try at a 5 string bass.
So I've got this as a part of a trade and despite the fact that I like it a lot, I can't get used to 5 string.
This bass is not even 8 months old and it was bought from Southpaw Guitars for $1600.
It has all the case candy including build sheet and certificate of authenticity, blank warranty card still valid and the original G&L hard case.
It's a long shot but if someone has a G&L JB (not JB2) 4 string I could trade for this one or other 3 bolt older G&L bass. Would consider other basses as well as long as they are 4 string/fretted.
Please send me a PM if someone's interested otherwise I'll put this up on Reverb.
Cheers!

Is this still available? What is the string spacing at the bridge?

It is. String spacing is 17mm but feels a little wider.

G&L only very recently released a 19mm 5er and right now I think it's only the L2500 model, or custom shop.

I got my G&L JB-5 last year, and I love it, but it is a bitch to get used to the huge neck. The sound is sooo wonderful though.

So whoever buys yours is going to have a great instrument.

The bass is no longer available for trades, I'm gonna drop it off at the dealer tomorrow and they are gonna sell it for me and put the funds towards a G&L JB4 custom order.
Thanks! :)
