Just picked this up this morning, don't know much about it as I've never seen one and there's not much online about it but it's an awesome bass!
It was fairly clean and sat in a basement for the past 20 years...
I've got it from the original owner and it came in it's original case.
The neck measures 1 3/4 at the nut.
Right now I can only get it to work in passive mode, so I'm gonna drop it off for service soon.
Any info about these?

Wow, I've never heard of that either. Way cool!

Even BassesByLeo doesn't have much about it. 400 built. Same electronics as the El Toro.

I slightly remember these basses but never seen one in Left Handed. Here is a nice summary on this model.

Great sounding bass, and the guy does a fine job of showing all of its abilities/sounds...

Nice score, Paulo :D

I believe I have seen other lefties before, maybe one or two, but definitely a rarer G&L. I dig the look, and the demo of that guy on the El Toro shows off some great growly tones too.

Enjoy!

The only Youtube video I found was not in great quality but good enough with headphones.
This guy has a lot of videos playing the Interceptor!

Today I took this bass to Upfront Guitars in Bellingham, MA and in a matter of 10 minutes Gordon figured out the issue, now I can officially say this bass is up and running like it should!
Also I removed the neck (I thought I did that before) and the stamp dates April 11, 1985 and the body says April 18, 1985.

It was wired wrong and the passive/active switch (the white one) was working as a kill switch.
Not anymore! :P
