Hi! I just bought this bb1600 bass made in Taiwan.

Insane highmass bridge and nice sounding pickups. I really love these fredboard inlays. :) The neck feels more like a p bass and the body is slimmer than my jazzbass. Really smooth and not so heavy.

I wonder how old this bass is. The serial number is OPO2215. 80's something?

Very cool. I had its twin in the past:

Yamaha make it a bit tricky to date guitars, but here’s the crib sheet:

The “O” makes it an 8, so likely a 1988 ...
