This bass belonged to Jim (gravesbass) then he passed it to Bill (Billw97) and now it's stuck with me!
Loved the bass but not so much the natural finish so I decided to send it to Joe (thumbslam) and what a fantastic job him and his partner did!
If you guys need any work done he's the man for the task!
I'm very happy with the way it came out!
Now it sounds awesome and it looks awesome! The wood grain popped out nicely!
I tried my best with the photos but I'm not a pro :?
Big thanks to thumbslam for the great work and big thanks also for Billw97 for the chance to own this beauty!

Quick question- I need to shield my Fortress - how did you get the preamp out?

I just disconnected the PUs and whatever was needed, marked everything but Joe shielded the cavity and put it all back together!

Joe and his partner do fantastic work. Highly recommended..... He has the attention to detail that some builder need to focus on.

That bass came out really nice and the bass was HUGE sounding played loud. great bass and came out nice. Now play the shit out of it!!

Very cool, Paulo! Your projects are always interesting.

How is that D-tuner working for you? I put a D-tuner on my Thumb, and I haven't had much luck with it going down and back up to pitch accurately. I think the lever is hitting the G-string tuner because the tuners are angled.

It happens sometimes but most of the time works perfectly!
I just check every now and then. Sometimes minor adjust is needed but it didn't bother me at all.

"Ritter Green" as the guide? Looks great! (But I think that jazz pickup is still crooked...)

Every time I read the title of this thread it makes me think of that "other" Basslab, those crazy Germans.
