This is the link to the thread on the history of this Sabre: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5298&p=37979&hilit=sabre#p37979 I think it's cool what you had done to it - it has taken some abuse but it is a really cool bass. |

bought it on ebay - someone from soCal. I did have a Facebook chat w Tom Newhouse the original owner - he lives in AZ now. He got the bass new as a gift from his girlfriend/future wife and used it on all of the recordings of the Criminals, The 3 Wild Guys and Attidudes. The reason for the two extra switches was for a wireless transmitter that he put inside the control cavity - I had that removed. The bass has had a lot of use and it shows - which is cool |

Gigged with this bass last night. Just played it on a few tunes. It's getting the pickup selector switch replaced in a few days, but I wanted to try it out anyway. I was only able to use one pickup at a time, and not run both simultaneously. It plays and sounds incredible. Each pickup is perfectly capable of holding its own. I can only imagine what it'll sound like with both. This thing is like 3 sledgehammers in one. |
