Long-time lurker, happy to post my new bass. After 8 years of playing a '62 RI P Bass (righty converted to lefty), this bass is a pleasure to play.

Ebony board, quartersawn maple neck with a satin finish.

Congrats! So does that mean it's your first truly left handed bass?

Yep! I've had lefty guitars and converted righties, but when I took up bass, I didn't stop to think about the ergonomics of flipping such a large instrument. It's nice to not have to anchor the bass with my left hand or hold the neck up with my right.

For sure. Flipping righties sucks. Glad you found a comfy instrument.

Beautiful bass! What's the color - Fullerton Red?

Yes, it is Fullerton Red. I have seen it on many guitars with a creme PG, and I was inspired by Pino's Fiesta Red P bass with tort gaurd. I also chose it because I think it will age well. Most importantly, it plays great!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Gorgeous bass. That looks like a real thumper.

I would love to assemble a list of al the reasons a lefty actually likes having a left handed instrument and include these very important issues the next time one of those righty knuckleheads on other forums posts ignorant statements like, "Why do you need lefty instruments/Just flip it over like Hendrix."

I gotta agree with Matt, I spent the first 6 or 7 years using flipped righty's and it was SO annoying!

Congrats on your new bass. And tks for posting that great pic!
