Well I only have experience with actual 70s pickups, but not actual 60s ones so I probably can’t answer this fully. But on a previous CS Jazz I had, there were hand wound pickups that were supposed to be period correct. Those sounded beautiful, but I hated the output. The 70s pickups to my ear (both real and reissue) sound angrier to me and with higher output. I had Fender put 70s style pickups in this one. That along with the 9.5 radius are the only specs on this bass that are non-60s |
