I was recently contacted on reverb and traded one of my basses for this 1986 G&L Interceptor. I was a little hesitant at first: a 1996 Fortress Masterman 5 is no slouch either. But I asked Paulo how he liked his, and with a nudge from him I did the trade and am glad I did! I love this bass. I received it from the original owner. I have the original case and trem arm as well. The nut is an older custom job and done well. The arm on it now, I tapped at work and screwed in. Its a guitar arm and its profile is lower and more to my liking. The original one is considerably larger. The trem needs to be set up just like a guitar. Its a full floater. Super cool and fun.

The bass had 30 years of gunk on it when I received it. I did a complete nut and bolt disassembly including the tuners and Kahler. It was a lot of work, but turned out well. I believe its in great shape for its age.

It's currently set at C standard with the bottom 4 from a Ken Smith Slap Masters 5 lite set. 55-120.

With that being said, if anyone seeing this has a left handed Interceptor they would part with please contact me at pgdonahue31@gmail.com. I know it's a longshot but I really want another one to set up to D and use in my other project(s). I believe I have found my niche with this bass. I have a hard time bonding with certain basses, but connected with this bass right away. Cheers!
