File comment: Belvedere DiPinto Bass. Plain and simple - find one in lefty, BUY IT. These things are awesome basses, no lie - and for like $500? a no brainer. The loudest pickups I have- and they are passive!

I've always been curious about these basses. Would you describe the tone as more old school hollowbody (like a Hofner) or is it more modern sounding? Would love to hear some samples.

more modern sounding for sure - i'll record some clips and get them to ya - it can be really FAT, almost dub like when tone rolled out and both pickups on (or just neck) - when you roll up the tone and select both pickups it is like a really fat P with added clarity. Solo just the bridge and it can really cut for soloing - great with a wah -the thing is really cool - i was surprised
