Hi, everyone! I'm brand new to the forum here. Just wanted to show off what I've got. I never had a lot of money, so I always bargain hunted for every bass I own. That being said, I DID sink a fair bit of money into one of them (you can probably guess which one after reading the descriptions, haha). Here's what I've got to-date:

L-->R
2008 Hofner Guitars Icon Series B-Bass, strung with La Bella 760FHBB flatwounds (.050-.100). Fender standard vintage leather strap.

2001 Squier Precision Bass Special, pickguard chaged to red tortoiseshell, currently has a Babicz bridge on there, strung with D'Addario XL190 roundwounds (.040-.100). Souldier "Hendrix Maroon" bass strap.

No-name Roger Waters-style P-Bass (SX body, hardware, & electronics, Eden Guitars neck), pickguard changed to a Warmoth Guitars all-black pickguard, strung with La Bella 760FL flatwounds (.043-.102). Souldier plain black bass strap. I have plans to modify this to look & feel like a 1958 Precision.

2010 Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass, upgraded out the wazoo to look & feel like a 1969 Fender Jazz. All gold hardware, including the EVO frets. Neck courtesy of Musikraft, pickguard courtesy of WD Music, DiMarzio Area J pickups, strung with D'Addario XL190 roundwounds (.040-.100). Souldier "Hendrix Maize" bass strap.

2006 Tradition Guitars B-105, hardware changed to all-black, including a Hipshot Products Inc A-Style bridge and Ultralite tuners, currently strung with a custom GHS Strings Progressives set (.040-.136). Souldier sliver/black "Celtic Knot" bass strap.

2015 Warwick Rockbass Corvette, dead stock except for changing out the strap buttons to Dunlop Dual Design straplocks, currently strung with a custom GHS Progressives set (.040-.136). Souldier gold/black "Celtic Knot" bass strap.

If I'm being completely honest, I'm not crazy about the Rockbass. I'm not a fan of the pickups at all, and I don't like the lack of access to the highest frets. I'll probably be selling it once I find a suitable replacement (LeftyClover's Mayones Jabba, perhaps?).

Anyway, hope you like, and I'm glad to be here!

I love what you've done to that VM Jazz. Really looks awesome. :)

How are you liking that Musikraft neck? I just checked out their site and their options and prices seem pretty reasonable.

pjmuck, the Musikraft neck has been fantastic! They're pretty much the only online neck manufacturer that had the options available to build the neck to true 1969 specs (Thin "C" neck, 7.25" radius, rosewood laminate, white binding, block inlays, single action truss rod). Scott (the sales guy) was also super helpful with my many questions. Excellent customer service. I've now played the bass out at quite a few gigs, and it's rock solid! I'm gonna be getting another Musikraft neck for the black P-Bass (with 1958 specs) after I settle up on my taxes.

Here's a quick vid of me using the VM Jazz on last month's "EBS Bass Challenge." https://youtu.be/DjomYd0dXsY

Hahaha, yup, another Tim! :D

The backing track was made available via EBS's website. It was pretty cool. I don't own any EBS gear, so no, none was used for the vid. I recorded direct via my Zoom B9.1ut. Amp model was a GK, cabinet model was an EV 2x15.
