Here we go peeps, French Ska from Frenchy! - All played, recorded, sung, mixed, mastered at home. Sweated like a m.f to make it presentable so at least tell me you like the sound of my P-bass! (LOL!) https://soundcloud.com/zeros-once/jardindansuncadreenbois |

Love that! Really nice job. What did you use for the horn patches? Translation please? |

Thank you sir! I hope the bass is to your liking. Gravesbass came to visit me recently and I think he liked my P-bass. I mute at the bridge in the intro. I used the IK Multimedia freeware sampler Sampletron (there is also a paying version) for the horns and mixed different brass sounds to make it realistic. I am actually surprised on how cool it worked considering that I did not have a real horn section available! Much better than any keyboard stuff. The guitar is alright considering that I am playing through a tiny $100 Vox amp but I need someday to get a decent guitar amp (need more stuff, always!) I just re-mastered it this morning and did a few touch ups on the mix. It's less "trebly" now. As I always say, it's difficult to do your own mastering at home (I'll have it professionally mastered). Still need a few adjustments here and there. Ah the lyrics! It would be quite difficult to translate... |

Love it! I guess this is what the ska from Martinique, not Jamaica, sounds like? |
