We were asked to support an 80's "cock rock" tribute band out of Minneapolis... they do blocks of tunes by bands like Poison, Queen, Priest, Alice Cooper, G'n'R, Journey, Kiss, Cinderella, etc.
They're a HUGE production with pyro and everything... they have two lead singers in the band who trade off the "leading role" and they each dress up and act like the real singers from the actual bands. There are literally times when it's impossible to tell them apart from the real people.
It's kind of a live music vacuum where I live... the only touring national acts that come through here are country bands. We get very few solid national rock acts, so quality rock tribute and cover bands can flourish here.
Anyway, we were asked to open for them and it was an awesome experience... since we knew it was going to be a big show, we asked a photographer friend of ours, who also does some of our family pics, if she wanted to shoot it for us... she was really excited since this was her first live music shoot, and she did an amazing job.
