Thanks Bob!
There are indeed more songs that I play on, for instance, Song For My Father:
https://youtu.be/SeGWsXJfF5w?t=8347The Jule Amp did make quite the combo with the Sadowsky PJ. My other amps (Ampeg BR-200 for one) did not make the tones as tangible as this one.
What also came up while playing this bass for 4 years, is that it's one of the easiest basses to use live, quickly changing tones from song to song, or to adapt to the resonance of some venues. The cancellation-effect (modern sounding) with both pickups on full, is quite handy, more so than you might guess when auditioning a PJ in a store of somewhere isolated from a band.
I've read the other topic about the PJ-config and I can relate. Playing alone at my desk it may sound a little undefined as compared to a hollow P tone (the first one from Scott's comparision video), or gnarly J on the rear. But, in the end (on stage) the sounds I can get by balancing the J, P and the Sadowsky pre-amp for the room/song, are realworld usable and virtually unlimited (okay okay, no barking single coil)
