This is a live performance at the Musikfest Cafe in Bethlehem, PA from last August. I used my Sire V7 Marcus Miller through my Eden Navigator preamp and the house cabinet.

Santana - Black Magic Woman

I'll post some more from the show later, including one where I get to sing. :)

Great to see a band that plays this song correctly... and dig your lively energy on stage!

Love playing Peter Green's "rumba" version!

LOL. He gets that all the time. And I tease our percussionist all the time for looking like Bowzer from Sha Na Na. People are also starting to compare me to Ted Nugent, so I may need to retire the cowboy hat...or start touting a semi-automatic rifle instead. ;)

M-M-M-My Sharona!

One more video from the Musikfest performance, this time me singing. I think the Sire got a nice growl on this one:

Thanks again.

BTW, I just ordered my second Sire yesterday, a V7 vintage in white this time with maple neck/block inlays, for hopefully a punchier tone that gets in the ballpark of my '72 J. I had ordered it with the ash body, however, I also don't want a 10+lb bass either, so I sent an e-mail to Sire asking whether or not I can have a lighter weight wood selected. I've heard their ash is heavier than their alder, so i may end up switching to alder if it makes a difference, as I'm thinking the body wood choice won;t have much impact on the overall tone as much as the make neck and 70's placement of the bridge PUP.
