After much hesitation I have decided to let this one go. Most of my basses are JB size, and it just fits me better.

No introduction needed, you know how difficult it is to find an ATK lefty, left alone the PGBL1 edition. I looked for more than a year before finally finding this one in Europe and taking it back with me from a business trip.

Condition: Excellent, I give it a 9, 10 being new from the store on my scale.

This bass is normally tuned BEAD. I changed the nut (same brand as original, perfect fit) for GDAE. The original nut as well as the original, heavier gauge, strings are included in the sale.

Overall just a fantastic bass, positive reviews are plenty.

This is the Slpknot limited edition, not common as a lefty at all.

No bag, no case, this is how I bought it a year and a half ago or so.

$650 including shipping continental USA

Sorry could not attach pictures, it says " Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached"! so I added them here:

Wow, I don't know a lot about Slipknot (although I did once "know" a girl who had a full-back Slipknot tattoo), but that bass is freaking awesome.

Nice! This won't last long, I should think.

I didn't know until just yesterday or Friday that the pickup is a triple-coil. I had never heard of such a creature before.

I am really intrigued by that triple-coil pickup. That is a lot of string area to take in. Does it sound like a super-thick humbucker on steroids?

I will have to look for some sound clips on YouTube or something.

Yes, to a certain extend it does.

If you are a bit familiar with Ibanez, you know that their EQs are normally quite effective and cover a broad range of frequencies. Add to this the triple humbucker and you can go from very low, glass shattering bass to Stingray trumpet like notes. I believe it is often called the poor man's Stingray because it is so good at imitating its sound for a fraction of the price. But it still offers a wider sound range than the stingray.

Had both and in terms of value the ATK nails it. Great bass!

The pickup never uses all three coils at the same time. It has three settings under a switch:
1: the outer coils in parallel, much like your traditional Stingray;
2: the coil closest to the bridge, with the center coil acting like a phantom coil to reduce hum;
3: similar to setting 2 but with a treble cut to sound slightly P-ish.

There are some recent ATK models that have a quad coil btw, that's a totally different story!

And then there's the ATK 800 premium series, featuring a single-coil J-bass pickup along with the standard tri-coil pickup... very cool bass! Not available for lefties however....

Scott Reeder from Kyuss used one of those. There's one in the middle of this video interview.
