This is hard to do, but since acquiring a fretless Stingray I'm not using this at all.

I've had it for around 6 or 7 years or so and it's all original (currently has straplocks fitted but I think I have the original strap buttons somewhere).

The bass dates from 1980 and is in excellent shape for a vintage instrument. It has Niangon facings, with the std mahogany core and multi piece neck. Electronics are unusual, in that it has an off switch on the Vol pot - turn it to zero and it switches the bass off) and these were serviced a few years ago by Paul Herman at Wal, and a new jack socket fitted. All other controls are the same as every Wal custom.

Comes with the original brown Wal case.

Asking £3000 plus worldwide shipping. Bass is located in Scotland.

cheers, and any questions, feel free to ask.

That is really a fabulous looking bass. I'd hate to have it and be forced to sell it!

I regret moving the "none more black" one I got from you Jim.My back can't handle that mahogany but I'd consider buying this one if I could get a good price.GREAT basses and the electronics are special..

Totally off topic. I live in Florida, but my wife lives in York, England. We visited Scotland at Christmas
and we both fell in love with the country. Someday it'll be home. I hope.

Yes, Scotland is amazing. I ride a motorcycle (KTM) and it's small enough to be able to get to any type of scenery you desire in no more than an hour or so.

I hope you make it back sometime...

Well, this is kind of a useless comment, but that is certainly the best picture of the inside of a control cavity I have ever seen; remarkably vibrant and colorful :-P

I went to visit Scotland in 2008 stayed in a seaside village on the Firth of Forth. Beautiful area, the people are wonderful, so much history - hope to get back there someday.

Seems like that's pretty much where I am, going by your description. Just look here: East Neuk

Visit again, soon.

If I can critique my own photo, I'd say the depth of field is a stop or two, too shallow. Still, you can see what's in there......
