I have a "Natural" Conklin Groove Tools GR7 7 String bass I am contemplating putting up for sale. Its absolutely mint. I got it and had my luthier do a complete Plek job to it. The action is stupid low without buzz. I have upgraded this bass with some great options to bring it up to the higher end Conklin basses. The neck on this bass is Wenge/Purpleheart and it feels awesome. The dual truss rods are very stable and the neck has not moved since I had it setup from my luthier.

It came with Bartolini pickups and a Conklin std preamp. I wanted more.

Upgrades:
MEC German Soapbar Pickups $350/400 street
EMG BQC Preamp wired 9v <-- great in this bass
(can be easily upgraded to 18v)
Recessed Dunlop Straplocks installed (much better, the buttons stuck out)
34" Scale <-- killer on a 7 string and B still sounds good.

The bass is strung Low B thru Hi F. It can easily be modded to Low F# -> Hi C or whatever you require. The neck is stable as hell.

These are discontinued and nearly impossible to locate in a left handed GT7. Street was $1299.00 stock when they were available. I have $700.00 in upgrades and Plek work.

I'll post a fair price with pics soon. Just wanted to get this out if theres any interest in extended range.

I want to get $1,000.00 and will include a cheap gigabit and include the original electronics and pickups. The Barts are USA bars, not the MK1 series.

A few quick shots I found. Still haven't gotten around to real pics. I haven't conditioned the fingerboard yet since I got it back from Plek. That's why its dry looking. Killer neck!

PM sent to you... still in debate but I want to get about $1,000.00 for this. With all the upgrades and Plek, its an extended range players dream.

A few pics with some real sun coming in thru my blinds. If you see some darker shadows in the finish, it's just the blinds. The dot markers on the top are killer. You can see where you are clearly. Also the plastic is still on the back control plate.

About a $1000?!!! Seems like an incredible price for a quality bass such as this! Still coming to terms with my 6-string, so 7 is not in my future... I'm sure whomever buys this will enjoy all of its capabilities!

Thanks fivebass52..... If anyone's seriously interested, ping me via private message here. I don't have a lot of time for questions back and forth so have em all ready to go in one message :) Please only serious questions. I am kicking back and forth on moving this already but need more funds back in my savings. I just moved 2 basses so not in a horrible hurry to move this one.

It will be going up locally and Reverb+eBay soon. I'll pull the price here on LB and list at my reasonable price. Board members here get first dibs.
