I never thought I would sell this bass... but a little bit of recent reckless spending in addition to a $2500 homeowners insurance deductible for a full roof replacement due to storm damage will realign priorities fairly quickly...
Anyway...
Up for sale is my Fender "American Design Experience" Jazz Bass...
$1400 SHIPPED, LOWER 48.
This bass is completely badass in every possible way. It is SUPER light at 8.31 lbs with an ASH body and a MAPLE fingerboard. From what I've gathered, ADE has been a bit of a letdown for some, but I couldn't have possibly lucked out anymore in regard to this bass.
The thing that makes the "American Design Experience" unique when you go to the Fender plant is that you can hand pick everything that is used to build your instrument... ordering online, however, is a gamble because you have no idea what you're going to get. I couldn't have possibly handpicked a better bass than this... it's the best of the best when it comes to Fender, IMHO.
As far as set-up goes, it's incredible. Unbelievably low action with an easy to play 9.5" radius... I know I sound like I'm in "salesman mode" here, but this is not an exaggeration. The overall setup on this bass is as good or better than ANY other bass I've ever owned... Lull, Zons, Pedulla, Roscoe, F Bass... you name it. It plays like a $5,000 boutique bass, and that is no exaggeration.

My "Showroom Floor" condition (typical black finish swirling from medium-light playing with no dings or dents at all) price is
$1400 shipped, lower 48.
This will ship in the original unused case it came with and the original orange Fender cardboard box as well... I'm also including an extra tortoise guard (as seen in pics below).
Also... it's well-known that Fender uses righty pots and wires them for lefty rotation for some insane reason. This makes them work more like "on-off" switches with no taper to the rotation (especially with tone pots). I have replaced the electronics with reverse audio taper pots which allows for lefty rotation with a beautifully smooth taper from zero to ten. I also used a nice oil/paper cap instead of the chinese ceramic cap with up to 80% variance that they use stock.
Here's some pics... Let me know if you have any questions!!!
