It works like (a very hard) wood, has a lot of the same tonal characteristics, but is stable like a composite. It makes an excellent fretless fingerboard because it is very hard, resists damage from roundwound strings, and sounds great - very aggressive and "mwah-y". It can be any color you like, the standard we use has been dyed black, but you may have seen a few oddball colors like rainbow or blue; it is also possible to make with other woods, such as the Bird's Eye Maple version we have a small supply of. " |

Beautiful bass, I miss my fretted. how are the nylon strings on it ? Do you still get the growl or is it more an upright sound? |
