This guitar was purchased in 7/21/2005 from Zzounds.com. It is solid, plays well, and sounds excellent. It was my first of 7 Gibson SG purchased so I have resisted selling it until now. It has a nice warm feel because of the satin finish. This guitar has Ernie Ball Regular Slinkey’s 10-46 and new ones were put on when it was set up about 3 months ago. It has always been professionally set up by a local luthier who handles all my guitars and basses.

There is plenty of fret life in this guitar with no fret buzz at all but, I have never tried to get the action any lower because I like to bend and I have big fingers. The action has never been very low and it REQUIRES a setup twice a year as the weather goes from humid to dry or dry to humid. It think this is a down side to the statin finish which is more affected by weather changes than the Nitro or Poly finished SG’s.

There are some minor dings (about five) on the body, some flaking around edge of the back control cover and there are a few small scrapes on the bottom curved edges of the headstock. It is hard to see in the pictures. However, it is structurally sounds and the neck if straight with working truss rod.

Hard Shell Case
This is a Brown Gator SG style case with Pink Interior purchased in perhaps 2008? It is very sold with perfectly working latches, hinges, and closes tightly and firmly. The guitar is very secure when in this case. It has a few minor dings on the outside of the case but, nothing major (normal wear and tear from a few gigs)

Extras
The original plastic nut is back on the guitar. There is an extra Bone Nut, and a couple of Graphtec nuts that my luthier made. The original knobs (similar to some les Paul’s) were upgraded to Gibson top hats (the originals are long gone – they were hard to turn and looked cheap). The truss rod cover was upgraded to a Gibson SG Logo truss rod cover and the original and a few other truss rod covers are included. A few extras saddles and screws are included because of various past modifications (none of which required any permanent disfiguring of the guitar). Note that the original Gibson 490t bridge pickups is included. Installed is a Gibson 498t Zebra pickup which give this guitar more bite. Finally I will include a guitar cable, bottle slide, two sets of Ernie Ball Regular Slinkey strings (just like on the guitar already).

The truss rod tool will be included. Finally the cavity has been “tinned” with shielding tape and the control wires have been shielded with plastic tubing by my luthier. It really reduced a bad hum (when my hand left the metal parts of the guitar when playing) to almost zero.

Reason for Selling
I am continuing to slowly, and with great counter resistance, sell down my guitars, basses, and other gear due to serious health issues with Multiple Sclerosis. Once getting sick and now in my mid 50’s I just don’t have the energy or drive to crank out heavy metal hours on end.

I tried to trade this for a bass on Leftybassist with another member but, my wife has insisted that I get down to one bass and one guitar and see how it goes before taking on new gear.

I have sold 4 basses on leftybassist, a few pedals on ebay “BrookRoadTrader”, lots of PA gear on craigslist. I provide excellent price point, quality, and packaging, on all my sales. I have 100% excellent references and want to keep it that way.
