I'm decided to sell my personal 1964 Fender Jazz Bass.
Sunburst finish, clay dot unbound neck, 100% orig. factory "Lefty".
And yes, this the one which was for sell for $12500 at the Guitar broker in 2009.
Today I'm asking for 12000€.

The bass is in very good condition (great setup and polish). Christian Noguera did some professional fret job on it.
The strings are La Bella flatwound .045 - .105, but I can put a set of La bella roundwounds on request. The bridge pick-up cover has the foam.
I can give with it either a nice leather gig bag or a small hardshell case.

A video of myself playing this instrument:

Is this the same one that has been "auctioned" on ebay 27 times this year?

No. The one from ebay your are talking about was bought by a friend who did send it to me. So I have 2 '64 ;)

What makes a Jazz neck an "A" neck?

October 27th. But my mother didn't know I'd be a bass player so I got a rattle instead.

Maybe someone with a little more knowledge than me can answer this, but I've noticed that Fender's sunburst application can be all over the map, not only throughout the years but even within the same period, year, etc. Case in point: Yves J bass displays a pretty distinct hard banding of the 3 tones with little tonal gradation from black/red/yellow (vs some SBs where the blend is smoother). Is this a crapshoot and does it all come down to whomever happened to be spraying the instrument at the time? Is it a deliberate conscious effort? Does the vintage market have a preference and/or does it effect market value? Personally, I prefer a smoother transition of colors, but I wouldn't throw this beauty out of bed for eating crackers either. ;)

Yep you are right. My 62 is more red then yellow with a wider black contour.

I've posted this before but it serves to illustrate my point. Here's my two '72 Js. Serial number/heel markings date the one on the right slightly older by 2 months. Note the harder edge tonal gradation and brighter banding of the red on the J on the right vs. the one on the left.
