I have here for sale a Midnight Wine Fender MIM Jazz Bass which I purchased from Musician's Friend on October 7, 2008.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/779medft4rsq282/u6F_0FfaJXIn the pictures at this link above I did not clean up the bass or case so you can see it “as is” The bass is in excellent shape 9.0/10.0 with no scratches on the body, back or neck. There is some minimum surface wear on the beveled top of the body. I will clean the bass up and post more pictures later.
There are no cracks, dings, scratches or any other defects on this bass. The neck is straight, action medium-low, and the truss rod is in perfect working order. The pickguard is scratched from use. The Pickups have been upgraded to “DiMarzio DP123 Model J Bass Pickup Set Black”

The black pick guard was ordered through
http://www.terrapinguitars.com as I updated all my bass pick guards from the boring white and other bland colors Fender seems to use stock. Note in this picture that there is a small gap between the pickguard and controls. It never bothered me but, I was reminded of it when I sold my Ash Jazz bass on an earlier post.
The Gator Hard Shell Case has scuff marks but, is in excellent physical condition with the exception of a dent in the foam neck brace in the middle. It would be easy to fix.
The original Fender gig bag tortoise original pick guard and MIM pickups are not included in this sale as they are long gone.
I will also throw in 2 black good quality Levi guitar straps, the Fender supplied truss rod wrench, a Monster 10’ guitar cable, and an extra set of unopened Ernie Ball Bass Strings.
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessor ... ss-strings(Same strings as on the bass now). I have a Luthier work on all my guitars and basses and he just set this one up and “tinned” the inside of the electronics cavity.
I absolutely love this bass and case and the sound is above MIM average with the upgraded pickups with almost no hum at all. I have picked up and played many left handed MIM and American Jazz basses in a brick and mortar shop but, they often feel and sound a cheesy when compared to this bass. The look with the black pickguard is excellent.
This is my most played bass guitar and I have the most enjoyable gigs in my life with our power trio playing Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Cream, Hendrix on this Bass so there is some fretwear however, they are in very good condition with many year of play left. See close up pictures of frets in this batch:

If you are interested I recommend you contact me NOW because the Natural Ash Bass was purchased in about 24 hours of posting and I had other dissapointed members who did not even have a chance to get it. I am hopeful to get a good reference in a few days from the member who purchased my Ash Jazz bass and I will keep you posted on this link.
IF YOU ARE NOT SATASFIED WITH THIS BASS FOR ANY REASON, WITHIN 14 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE BASS, I WILL BE GLAD TO HAVE YOU SHIP THE BASS BACK (you would pay return shipping) FOR A FULL REFUND.
I do not want to sell this bass but, I contracted Multiple Sclerosis in July of 2010 and unfortunately my gigging and jamming days are over so my PA gear, several amps, 4 basses, a heavily upgraded Epiphone G400 guitar with Bigsby, and many items are slowly being sold off.
