Who's Oskar?

@ Sly: yes, I sold the bass to Oskar, it made it to Slovakia :) I also sold him my F Bass.

@ Stingray5: snagged this off the web

Oskar Rozsa
Slovakian bass guitarist. From his childhood - he was born in 1970 - Oskar Rozsa studied classical piano, but moonlighted on bass guitar and drums. He studied for a decade at the Bratislava Conservatory, where he directed a contemporary music ensemble before graduating in 1999 conducting a concert that included Copland and Brahms. Oskar Rozsa then went on to study Jazz and contemporary music at Berklee College in Boston.

Sextet, Oskar Rozsa's Hevhetia CD results from a Slovak Radio commission for a totally improvised Jazz work. Barflies, also from 2003, is a collaborative with trumpeter Lubor "Umelec" Priehradnik and drummer Robert Rist. There are also guest appearances by Stano Paluch, violin and pianist Miki Skuta. The CD features striking artwork by Marek Ormandik.

Oskar Rozsa appears with leading Czech, Slovak and visiting musicians. In 2006 he appeared at London's 606 Club in a trio led by Miki Skuta together with Martin Valihora on drums, and returned to London in November for a Jazz concert in the Conway Hall as part of the Passing Impressions Festival of Slovak Music and Musicians.

Yogz,

These are all beautiful basses, works of art really, but there is a glut of high end left handed basses out there right now and not a lot of cash to buy them up. Just recently saw a beautiful G&L SB-1 that a couple on this board, yours truly included, wanted to pick up. Even though new it went for over a 1000 USD, it only sold for $600. A 5 string Modulus recently got bought up by one of our board members for super cheap (I want to say around $1000 maybe less), which is a steal.

Between the poor economy and the declining value of the dollar, these basses are priced at Fodera level prices for those of us on this side of the world. Best of luck on these sales though, as these are beautiful basses that deserve a good home.

Don't tell me 1300 Eur for this beauty plus shipping is too much.

You would kill for that fingerboard and Low B!

Hi Yogz,

Are the Sadowsky and f bass still available? If so, then how much are they going for?

Thanks

Hey,

there's no Sadowsky on the list and appologies but the F-Bass is not for sale.

still available, no price change ( 2000 Eur ), the bass is new, I'll rather not sell it if I'd need to drop the price...
