Selling my #1: LEFTY G&L L2500 almost-vintage 5-string Bass Guitar.
Natural Blonde finish. In excellent condition.
Alder body, Maple Neck w/ Maple fingerboard showing beautiful wood grain. Weighs 9.5lbs.
G&L Saddle-Lock Bridge. G&L Magnetic Field Humbuckers have individual adjustable pole pieces.
Tri-Tone active/passive electronics.
Built Nov 3, 1998 in Fullerton, CA. American made, authentic G&L Bass.
SN# CL07648 registered with G&L.
This is not a cheaper foreign-made Tribute model.
In 1997, G&L basses underwent an improvement in build quality by going to a much stronger 6-bolt neck design which this one has. The headstock has the classic "bump" design.
This bass is all original, with the exception of a really nicely done MUTE switch which has been added below the other micro switches. SEE PHOTO…it's really cool and blends in perfectly with the design...

The controls on a G&L are as follows:

Master Volume knob 3-way pickup selector switch
Treble knob active/passive switch
Bass knob Preamp Off/On/On w/ treble boost
mute switch (custom)

This is a very sweet sounding and playing bass. I have played this instrument for over ten years, the only wear mark is a slight discoloration spot on the end of the headstock. It is nicely balanced and very comfortable to wear.

Includes hardshell case. Also has matching Schaller Strap-Lock buttons.

I am asking $1400. Buyer pays shipping & insurance. PayPal accepted.

Will consider trade for a Left-Hand MusicMan SR5 or a Lefty Bongo5.

Wow that is so nice! That grain is killing it! I have had 2 of these and a Tribute and I loved them. Great tone and playability. This one looks really nice. G&L's sometimes have neck issues but if this is without neck problems someone should snag it. Just my opinion but these Leo's are so much more versatile and punchy than the "other" Leo's. Good luck man. :!:

Gorgeous!!! I had a fretless, natural L2500 but couldn't use it much in the band I was with at the time. I regret letting her go (traded for Alembic Orion, 4 string - also gorgeous!) and seeing this one makes me realize that I want her back.

Is this G&L L2500 lefty still for sale? Would you be interested in trading for left hand Warwick Thumb 5 string neck-thru?
