Howdy!
I have a 40th Anniversary MIJ Oly-White Jazz Bass for sale.
This picture is NOT current, but, other than the wider ground wire that comes with the Custom Shop p'ups, the bass still looks as good. I'll post current pics within a day or two.
It's a '96 with a 50th Anniversary Edition sticker on the headstock. Ser# U037427
It was updated with Fender "Custom Shop 60's Jazz Bass" p'ups and the control cavity has been shielded with foil tape. Electronics, wire and jacks were updated with hi-quality replacements including the BIG switchcraft pots. I still have all the stock electronics, and they will be included with the sale. The original neckplate was completely blank and has been replaced with a Fender logo neckplate.
It will also come with an official lefty Fender Custom Shop GG&G hard case. It's the black case with orange interior and the silver Fender logo on the side. The case is in perfect condition.
There is only ONE thing "wrong" with this bass. The previous owner tried to adjust the truss rod without taking the neck off first and damaged the finish and the wood underneath. I had this repaired... the wood was smoothed out, creating enough room for adjustments, and now it looks fantastic... you'll see it in the new pics I post.
The only other things are two very minor dings in the finish... other than that, the bass is MINT. Zero fret wear, BONE STRAIGHT neck, and overall high-grade Japanese craftmanship for the price. This bass has never left my house... I have hardly ever played it and have never taken it to a gig.
I'm asking $850 shipped (lower 48) for the whole package... case, old & new electronics, and bass. I'm willing to ship overseas, however I will ONLY ship UPS. It's spendy, but, for overseas shipping, it's the best way to track and insure a valuble package.
Cash/check/PayPal accepted... no trades. I need to cover the expense of a recent purchase.
