I have been contemplating selling this for a while. It simply kicks ass and a perfect example of an older Spector with perfect balance. It's dark blue/purple hilights. Almost looks black in low light. It's got the Aguilar OBP-1 preamp @ 18v and EMG P/J config. 34" scale.
Not sure the weight but can weigh it. Light fade on the top area of body where your wrist sits that's due to how the finish settled. I talked to Doug Wimbish on this as he has a blueburst with the same finish. It's the Blueburst finish on maple. Doesn't effect sound or playability and only seen in bright light.

-Spector EURO4 (2001)
-Solid Quilt Maple Body Wings
-Finish: Blueburst (trans)
-MOP (mother of pearl) Spector Crown SS "real" logo inlay and Fingerboard dots
-Neck: Rosewood
-Preamp: Aguilar OBP-1 18 volts
-Pickups: EMG P/J Set
-Brass Bridge
-Schaller Tuners
-Brass Nut
-access gig bag
** Weight: 9lbs 11.4oz
(FYI: if weight is a problem, you can drop 1/2lb by installing HipShot UltraLite Tuners)

Asking price: $1250 SHIPPED Lower48 USA
- These are very hard to find this year with crown SS logo and solid quilt maple wings -

Pics and price to come soon but being a solid quilt wings Spector with crown SS logo makes it worth a little more.

I am definitely interested, just need to see some pics

I have no sun right now and I am working long days. here are some quick photos in my room. I'll get quality shots up soon or by weekend. Its listed here and going up on Reverb as well.

CONFIRMED Serial number is a 2001 date build. Its' a f**king great representation of a quality Spector.

Ok, its getting close to eBay and local sale time. If anyone has interest with a "fair" price in mind and not tire kicking, feel free to private message me. The worse I can say is no. :)

Love, love, love this one. :) Look at that purple. Wow! I'd really love to hear an A/B comparison between the stock preamp and the Aguilar to see if it makes a noticeable difference. I know a lot of players seem to rip out the original preamps, but mine has never really bothered me. Maybe I need to hear the difference to know what I'm missing.

Aguilar is the best preamp for the PJ config IMO. It just works..... The OBP-1 is tamer on the treble side than the OBP-3 but I think both are great in these basses. The TonePump with output adjustment is good and grindy but the Aguilar just seems to be there best from my experience.

Ask Andrew here. I sold him my other PJ with OBP-3. He can chime in.

LOVE the OBP-3 in my Spector. I do have a Duff Haz clone I intend to put in a Spector some day but I don't want to mess with the OBP-3 in this one. Great growl, and really classic Spector tone despite it being a different brand.

How does the signature Spector growl compare to the signature Warwick growl?

@ Andrew... I have the Duff2 (Lefty Haz Clone) as well (last of the batch he made) but the Aguilar OBP sounds so good in the bass I can't remove it. Aguilar Preamps work VERY well in Spector's. Also EMG BQC works great!
