Just feeling this one out. It's going to be tough both in sale and letting go but I just don't play it and feel bad about that. The money could definitely go to better places especially if our contract is not renewed this summer.

Here are some details:

- 2012 Alembic Essence 4 Left-handed
- Neck through
- Nut is between J and P bass width
- 32" medium scale
- 3 piece maple neck with walnut pinstripes
- Ebony fingerboard with oval mother of pearl inlays
- Crown peghead shape
- Flame maple top, mahogany sides
- Gloss trans amber finish with satin neck
- Alembic AXY pickups
- Essence preamp with added Q switch
- Red side LED's
- Chrome hardware (bridge pieces and nut professionally chromed)
- Recessed Dunlop Straploks
- Original Alembic/G&G hard case

I know I will take a hit on this but not playing it as much as I hoped and knowing the money needs to go elsewhere takes priority on this one.

Over $7000 invested in this guy. I'm hoping to get back maybe $5500 considering the shape it is in. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. A tough one indeed.

Thanks for the thoughts folks. This is a great group here so I thought I would put it out there for some feedback.

Very nice, and I wish you all the luck in selling during these tough economic times. Make sure you post it in the Alembic thread on TalkBass.... thread here... http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/alembi ... ss-867548/

Really nice bass you have there!

There's also this alembic forum with a classified section that gets a lot of traffic. http://alembic.com/cgi-bin/alembic-club/discus.cgi?pg=topics

Ya know, I know Alembics have always been on the really spendy side, but man-oh-man, have they skyrocketed in the last few years!

No reflection on the seller of course! GLWTS.

Thanks AZ ! I am on the forum there. They are some great folks there as well.

Indeed they have gone through the roof. I notice most builders have done the same. If we all had only known years ago and snatched up all we could !

I also will consider trades + cash on this guy.

Thanks again.

This guy is no longer just a feeler but a "for sale" so keep me posted if you are interested. I know they are a ton of money but offers are accepted.

Thanks !!

Sure hate to see you put this up on eBay... you might want to put a reserve on your bass just so someone doesn't steel it from you. Sucks the economy has taken away most peoples mad-money... I'm just mad these days 'cause I have no money - to spend on beautiful basses like this! :)

Thanks Five ! Yeah me neither these days !! LOL !! This is why it needs to go to someone who can afford to keep it and play the hell out of it. There is a reserve on the auction for sure.

Price drop to $4500 + shipping.

Probably the last drop before another ebay attempt or just holding onto it.

Thanks for looking folks!
