I had this listed not to long ago as a fretless, the sale feel through so i sold the neck to slybass3000

so I paired the body up with an old neck that i had lying around.... I was planning on holding onto it but times are tough since buying an upright so i'll put this out there as a feeler...

This is a relic'd left handed jazz bass - the body was finished by MJTele in the states

Specs:

BODY: 1-5/8" Swamp Ash
PICKUPS: Mojo Jazz Bass Pickups - Hand wound to pre cbs 62' specs - (http://www.facebook.com/Mojopickups)
CONTROLS: Vol,Vol,Tone
BRIDGE: Vintage bridge

Currently strung with Rotosounds, plays great neck is straight and action is low.

Looking for $350 + Shipping

Do you have any more specs on the neck? i.e. manufacturer, nut width, etc.

Thanks!

Hi, I believe it's a hondo neck. The previous owner scratched off the logo, but i remember the bass had a hondo neck plate. I'm not at home at the moment so will measure up the nut size when I get in.
Overall The neck feels great, i actually prefer it to the fretless warmoth that i had originally put on the body. it's probably more like the neck on my mij pbass i.e. not a baseball bat, the frets still have plenty of life left in them.

Just measure the neck is 1.6" at the nut.

Ask away if you're after any other info!

Who made the body?

What's the 1 5/8" measuring?

Who drilled the holes?

Where is this bass located?

Will you separate from the neck?

Clicked the link to hear the sound sample and it failed (could be my computer?)

Hi the body is 1 5/8" thick which to my understanding is what the early sixty's jazz basses were, I believe newer ones are 1 3/4".
The finishing was done by MjTele and i have been informed they get there bodies from wildwood.

Bass is in New Zealand (shipping isnt to bad due to exchange rates) I'll consider selling the neck and body separately for the right price

you can try this link for the sound file http://soundcloud.com/chrispurchase/bass
