Schecter Scorpion "Diamond Series" Lefty Left Handed Bass (Black Matt Satin)
I have a used but great playing and sounding Schecter 4 string bass. It can be tuned EADG or BEAD. Alternate tunings work "great" on this bass. I have upgraded the cheaper tuners with a set of HipShot UltraLite Tuners ($120 Value) and a set of Dunlop Straplocks ($20 Value). It also has a very nice HipShot Bridge that needs no upgrading. No issues whatsoever staying in tune with this hardware. The pickups are EMG-HZ Humbuckers with an active 2-Band EMG Preamp and the neck is ultra fast….. String thru body option. 35" Scale. Mother of Pearl inlay at the 12th Fret and Nice looking white binding around the fingerboard.
I am also including a brand new Access Stage 3 Gig bag with the sale. The bass will be shipped with the bag. Here's what it looks like. They are discontinues as of this year for a newer model:
http://www.stevesmusic.com/index.php?ma ... f241d1f0d2Disclosure: There is a thin line crack on the top of the bass from pressure being put on the control knobs during freight. It does not effect the playability or tone of the bass. Its purely cosmetic. Included is a shot of the crack. This bass is listed to sell and if your a left handed player looking for a great sounding, inexpensive bass, this is it. I gigged and recorded with this bass and it plays and sounds fantastic. This bass is great for rock and metal but also sounds great for slap and tight barky mids.
From the Website:
The Scorpion Bass Guitar designed for the bass player who prefers 4-strings but would like the lower notes that a 5-string provides. It's tuned B/E/A/D and has an extended 35" set-in neck thru, 22-fret fingerboard for greater tension and integrity in the lowest notes. Dual graphite reinforcement rods add sustain, clarity, and stability. 2 EMG HZ bass humbuckers coupled with an active 2-band EQ give this bass the power to cut through walls of sound. Black hardware, white neck binding, and its 'devil" headstock set it apart from the crowd.
Here's a link to the bass when it was up on Musiciansfriend. It sold for $839 new.
