Hey guys, looking to upgrade to a BN7, since I just adore the tonal range of my Conklin GT7.
This bass re defies amazing. Its probably the fastest bass anybody on this forum will ever play. You'll notice you're playing will be significantly faster on this then any cheap bass.

Once I get my F bass Bn7, perhaps the GT7 might go up for sale too.
Im in absolutely no hurry to sell either, and if I dont get what Im after I'll just hold onto to both.
The FBass is just mint no scratches. Although I assume due to dryness there are some very small hairline cracks in the clear coat that I'll try to take pics of. No they aren't due to this being dropped, trust me.

Recently owned it most of its life. Its serial number tells me its bass number 86, made in Nov. 2001. (serial # is 861101)

Here are the pics.
Image

Sorry, the other pics I have are just group shots with a few guitars, and aren't any better. I'll take a few more pics

Im in Calgary Alberta. I dont know how much shipping would be, but probably $150 or so. Cheaper if picked up locally obviously. International shipping is available, but I have no idea of what it'll be offhand, so just message me about that.
Price? I'd like to see around $2500, new is $4k. Lowballs will be ignored, but Im open to reasonable offers.
Bass was recently set-up and re-fretted. It needs nothing other then a loving owner. I've taken amazing care of it, and the neck & action are very good. Again, just hook it up and play. Im its second owner, and have met the very mature original owner of it.

Yeah they are absolutely amazing. I've tried basses with $2-3k price tags, and they aren't even a fraction as incredible as this is. Playing up to the highest frets is every bit as easy playing at the lowest. WOW. this thing is surreal.

Dont get me wrong Conklin makes amazing basses too, but. they are nothing in comparison to this.

Price is OBO, I feel $2500 is fair, but if Ive been smoking the reefer too much so to speak, let me know. ;)

I owned a 2005 Lefty FBass ash body, all natural that simply kicked butt! George makes some killer basses and I LOVE the 34.5 scale. Good B string too! Good luck!!

Hey Graham, your timing is terrible. Remember I PM'ed you on Talkbass quite a while ago asking if you wanted to sell? And here you are... I just bought two MM Bongo 5's. Dang it, now I can't afford your F Bass. :(

^ Send me a PM when you realistically think you can make a move on it.
I remember replying many moons ago on TB, and never heard back from you so I left it at that.
Are you the guy from Vancouver?

Too bad you sold it, :( Yeah George and his crew really know WTF their doing, more so then any other builder I've ever seen. So simple to look at, it looks like any other bass, then you play it and it just becomes a part of you like nothing before.

Hi Graham,

I know this may defeat your purpose of buying a 7 string, but If you are interested in a trade-off, I have a Manne Newport AXS fretless (29fret) bass. Sound is beautiful (cross between Gary Willis and Alain Caron). only 3 months old and the reason as to why I am willing to let it go for your Fbass is because I simply realized that my playing style does not cater to a fretless sound. Original price of this bass is 3000 euros = 4160 US dollars. We can trade fair and square without any extra money involved.

Let me know man.

Take care

Hi,
Nice basses....
I'm interessed in your Fbass and your price seems good to me, thus could you try to have information about the shipping service prices with Fedex or Ups(I would prefer Fedex).
Could you send me your personal Email address, please
I have a few questions more to ask you.
Thank you.
:D We keep in touch

HI John, my email is GrahamMonette@gmail.com
Sure give me your shipping address so I can give you an exact price quote for it. Im glad you choose FED EX because I flat out refuse to touch UPS for anything. PM me your addy, and what kind of shipping youd like (overnight, 1 week, 10 business days etc) then I'll have a quote for you.

I forgot to mention I'll also include the factory F-bass gig bag, its very well protected. Black in color with white em belling.

......aaand sold to Jean!! :) it ships out to Belgium this monday.

Great wishes! I hope you enjoy this amazing thing as much as I have!
I'll give it a good coat of woodwind bore oil to make sure the wood is well lubricated & treated for the flight over :)
